Antonio Vicenti (1897 - 1958), proprietor of a joke shop in Alma Street, children's entertainer, magician and escapologist manqué. Probably it was the joke shop that allowed for the magnificent memorial arch and accessories on his grave in Blackbury Cemetery, one of its most elaborate memorials. Certainly he was only a minor local celebrity as an entertainer at children's parties and not a very impressive magician, but he died doing what he loved, thrilling the crowd with an underwater escape from a sack with twenty feet of chain and three pairs of handcuffs...almost. Eventually he got to do some really good tricks with teleportation: it's easy with no mass to hold you down.
