Cecil Clapman

Cecil 'Snouty' Clapman was the jailor at the Treacle Mine Road Watch House in Ankh-Morpork during Sam Vimes's initial days as a Watchman. His nickname came from the fact that his nose had once been broken and never set properly, leaving it half the length and twice the width of a normal nose. He had a tendency to interject a nasal inhalation ("hnah!") during his speech. He is given permanent jail duty, because his eyes water all the time. He had a role in the "Revolution" of the Glorious 25th of May (during which the People revolted against the oppressive reign of Patrician Lord Winder, and during which the People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road ("Truth! Justice! Reasonably-Priced Love! And a Hard-Boiled Egg!") was established), and died during the last stand against then-new-Patrician Lord Snapcase's guard, led by Carcer.
