Emily King

Emily King is introduced as Harry King's favorite niece. She must, therefore come from the same impoverished background as her uncle and Effie, but obviously she has had the benefit of Harry's wealth, providing a genteel upbringing and an education. She is a student/articling/apprentice lawyer (the process in the Guild not being described). Emily is an early enthusiast of Iron Girder and seems attracted to its (her?) creator Dick Simnel as well. Emily being quite attractive in the usual winsome, long-blonde-haired manner, Dick is easily attracted as well. Before long, we sense a probable wedding in the offing. Harry King will be right alongside this match, providing as it will an acceptable husband for his favorite niece and keeping, as it will, the whole Ankh-Morpork and Sto Plains Hygienic Railway in the family.
