possibly to Monty Python's sketch, The Martyrdom of St Victor, in which a minister of religion solemnly intones the tribulations endured by the saint, which included being bathed and strokèd by maidens of the orient, upon which Victor cried in his anguish "Oh Lord, this is terrifc! Oh God, this is fantastic!" Upon which the LORD heard the cry of Victor, and in His compassion and mercy did verily come down and slew the maidens. And Victor cried in his torment that the LORD was a rotten bastard....
