Mayor of Quirm

Appearing in Soul Music, the mayor of Quirm is described as a rotund man in a fur-trimmed cloak and a tricorn hat.

Having been warned of the destructive effects of The Band With Rocks In by the cities of Sto Lat and Pseudopolis, and the riots caused by the band's adoring fans, he tried to ban the band from playing in the city.

He was convinced to change his mind by the suggestion of a 'music tax' of 50p per ticket, with AM$ 250 in advance. Given this, he declared Music With Rocks In to 'be for the civic good'.

Whether he kept his job as mayor after the performance and the subsequent riots or not is unknown...
