On the price: it was off the top of my head. If there was a thought to it, it was that these things must take lots of constructing once the keel is laid down, several whales must die for each one, and one school of thought is that B&S, like Rigby and Peller, sell bespoke to senior lady Assassins, members of the nobility (Lady Sybil? Must put in a note about how it allows for ease of dragon-keeping and robust enough to withstand a direct hit and only char...) and other ladies with above-average disposable income... and womens' clothing has always been more expensive than men's... The most expensive corset in the 1901 Eaton's catalogue (major department store and mail-order house back in the day) is $6.00. I'd think those prices were inflated a bit from A-M's, but of course the mail-order item wouldn't be the height of fashion or the epitome of craftsmanship. Six dollars at that time would be in the range of A-M$6.00, so maybe $12.50 for the nec plus ultra could work. --Old Dickens (talk) 17:06, 22 December 2012 (PST)
