Talk:Lilac

I wonder if The Author, with his penchant for layers of meaning, gave more consideration to the lilac than just as a flower that appears in late May. Lilacs seem to be a particularly Ankh-Morpork sort of plant: tough, resilient, downright pushy. They will advance by stealth and overwhelm other shrubbery. Try to kill them and you may find that they have out-flanked you and established surrounding positions.
