- Verence's infant son given to the traveling actor/manager Vitoller and his wife for safekeeping, and given the name Tomjon.
- Havelock Vetinari graduates from the Assassins' Guild with full honors (according to Twurp's Peerage, quoted by Sacharissa Cripslock in The Truth); possibly the post-graduate program.
