Frusterick Manners

Frusterick Manners is a senior civil engineer working for the Grand Trunk organisation. His speciality is overcoming the extreme conditions to be found in building clacks towers in Klatch and he works out of the Greater Klatch network office at 56 Dopolis Street in Ephebe.

A progress report from Mr Manners is reproduced in The Compleat Discworld Atlas, in which he refers to years spent "building towers through jungle, swamp and mountain". This suggests the Grand Trunk Company is making a fairly determined attempt to push further into Klatch and possibly even into Howondaland; although later on in the The Compleat Discworld Atlas is a rueful note that acknowledges Howondaland may, at present, be beyond their reach due to a combinatino of extreme terrain, hostile tribes, Terra Incognita and uncertain governance.
