Rincewind. Virtual Anthropology: that which is almost but not quite real, or "real for a given value of teapot"?

Professor Rincewind is of course the custodian of the Roundworld project, the universe-in-a-glass-bottle, inside which a variety of alternative anthropologies have developed, which are made virtually real through the intervention of Hex, and which he, Rincewind, has been sent to investigate on many occassions.
