A young city dwarf with family in Tallow Lane. He went to the mountains to find himself and became apprentice to Ardent. He becomes increasingly uncomfortable with the activities of the Grags and eventually is overcome by his fear of the Summoning Dark. He is an enthusiastic player of Thud. In the end, he dies of a heart attack from a combination of sheer terror and his guilt over the role he took in the Grags' actions.
