Broadman was one of the former owners of the then [[Broken Drum|Broken (now the Mended) Drum]] in [[Ankh-Morpork]]. He was a little fat man with black beady eyes. After learning of the new-to-Ankh-Morpork concept of [[Inn-Sewer-Ants]] (Insurance, brought by an unwittingly dim [[Twoflower]]), Broadman thought he'd cash in immediately and set fire to the Drum. However, he miscalculated on a vast scale, engulfed over half the town in flames and lost his life. Altogether a bad day...
