An architectural feature of Lancre Castle which is used to house portraits of past monarchs/ stop them cluttering up anywhere that castle guests are likely to actually see.

Features as a location in Lords and Ladies, as Magrat Garlick seeks to evade the Elves who have invaded Lancre and its castle. Desperate, she is drawn to the image of long-ago Queen Ynci in the Gallery, and realised the improbable armour she has found in the castle armoury must have been hers...

As per castellian practice, the gallery is also used as a discreet location to place the nearest thing Lancre has to musicians, with differing results, in both Lords and Ladies and Carpe Jugulum.
