To Ronald Rust, a disgusting old screw who should have been sent to the knackers' a long time ago. To John Keel, she is a much-abused old horse who deserves a little respect, and most definitely doesn't need to see her feed siphoned off to various private-enterprise schemes going on in the Treacle Mine Road Watch house. Marilyn uncomplainingly pulls the hurry-up wagon for the Watch in Night Watch.
