In Guards! Guards!, Skully is one of the Palace Guard members who bring posters proclaiming the dragon King's demand for a human sacrifice to the Night Watch for distribution. By Men at Arms, he has transferred to the Day Watch, and rushes to Pseudopolis Yard for help after Quirke's racially-motivated arrest of Coalface provoke a mob of angry trolls to besiege the Day Watch headquarters.
