OK, both Wikipedia and the "official" rules at [http://www.crimron.net/cmo.html] spell it that way, although the Roundworld game doesn't use those suits at all, Caroc packs being hard to find. --[[User:Old Dickens|Old Dickens]] 13:42, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I see no difference between the description of a flush and a broken flush. I suspect that the difference is supposed to be that where a broken flush says "every card but one" the flush should just say "every card".

thougts?

But all this is not from Mr. Patchett but from the mathematician Prof. Terry Tao and the biophysicist Dr Andrew C. Millard from the USA. The rules and design of thes game were posted on USENET around 1993. !?!--Rene 12:46, 16 January 2008 (CET)

Poker or Gin Rummy ?

I just reread (make that re-re-re-re-re-reread or something) Witches Abroad and following the thoughtprocesses of Mister Frank I was under the impression that the game played somewhat like Gin Rummy,

"...he'd called her out and run a decent flush into the maw of a five card Onion that the old bag must have been patiently constructing for ages."

The above qoute makes it seem that a hand goes on until one player "knocks" or "calls out". Just a thought (because Cincinatti Kid was on TV last night and I spotted Rounders on my bookshelf). Iron Hippo 14:39, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Spelling

Is there any justification for the spelling "octagram? It's not normal for Roundworld, but then Roundworld never used them. --Old Dickens 01:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

The article already runs on quite a bit for a mention or a peripheral and I'd hate to see that mass added to it. If it's not possible to link to it anywhere, I guess you could create another page: Rules of Cripple Mr Onion or similar and link to that. --Old Dickens (talk) 20:32, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
