Hapley is a small town at least half an hour's ride from Ankh-Morpork. It contains an inn and a jeweler's shop. Presumably there is a stable. Moist von Lipwig visits here in Going Postal only for long enough to sell a ring and buy a horse (nearly 35 minutes). It is now a halt on The Sto Plains Line in between Colyford and Little Swelling. It is famous for the cabbage variety known as the Burley Bolter ‎and visitors are advised to avoid the town in Spune when the cabbages are at their most active. The inn unidentified in Raising Steam can now be named as the Rumptuous Arms which Mrs Georgina Bradshew describes as a rather run-down establishment selling unique potato-based wines, spirits and beers.
