Oh boy! The Small Gods Question again (see Talk:Book:Small Gods).
What's your argument for placing Brutha in the recent century? I can't accept it in face of the data in the text and I still like TC01's Djelbeybian Time-Well hypothesis to explain the discrepancies. (Our article on the Discworld calendar has him in the Century of the Cobra.) --Old Dickens (talk) 01:52, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

That's interesting, as we may have a contradiction within the Wiki and will need to go back to source (Small Gods) and resolve an editing error... the book page for Small Gods lists this under Miscellaneous, and this was my starting point:

But as you say, the Discworld Timeline article has the evens of Small Gods happening before the Century of the Fruitbat begins!

So I guess it's time to go back to the book and double check, if only to perform any necessary correction... AgProv (talk) 09:20, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Brutha's Birthday

Hmm. the One That Follows Grune is in fact August, as in our calendar. So assuming a twelve month year (or half-year in the 800 day cycle?) Brutha's birthday is in the first half of August. This follows on from his own statement that when he saw the Ephebian coin, he was one month shy of three years old - which looks like two years and eleven months old. Even if the thirteen-month year applies as stated here (http://disc.osiris-web.com/mediawiki/index.php/Discworld_calendar) then he is, in the Astounded Beetle, two years and twelve months old - still one month shy of his third birthday. (On Earth he'd be a Leo or just conceivably a Virgo. But on the Disc? different issue...)AgProv (talk) 15:25, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
