The Ridings is a street running through the seriously upmarket district of Ankh. It begins at the Dark Gate where Long Wall ends, and, as the name implies, runs almost due Hubwise past the Racecourse to Chrononhotonthologos Street, after which the Hubwards traveller proceeds along Brookless Lane with the Tump visible on their left. Being so near to the Racecourse and the generally horsey end of town, it may have something in common with London's Haymarket, as a place where the well-to-do and cavalry officers preferred to exercise their horses.
