Recent news about Terry Thursday, October 31st, 2024 Penguin and the Pratchett Estate announce that Night Watch will be added to the Penguin Classics range. This edition of the book will include a new introduction by Rob Wilkins, and annotations written by Dr David Lloyd and Dr Darryl Jones. (TerryPratchett.com) Thursday, October 24th, 2024 The production companies behind The Amazing Maurice announce that a sequel is in production, titled The Amazing Maurice 2 - The Waters of Life. It retains the same directors and producers as the first film, with a script by new writers Giles Smart and Keiron New. It’s expected to release in 2027, and will be distributed internationally by Epsilon Film. (Animation Magazine) Thursday, October 24th, 2024 Amazon Prime Video and the Pratchett Estate announce that the third season of the Good Omens adaptation will now be made as a 90-minute television film. Neil Gaiman will not be directly involved in the production, though he has contributed writing to it. (TerryPratchett.com) Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 The crowdfunding campaign for Modiphius's roleplaying game Terry Pratchett’s Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork launches on Kickstarter. As of November 1st, it had reached more than £1.6 million, beyond an initial goal of £100,000. (kickstarter.com) Friday, May 10th, 2024 The Terry Pratchett estate reveals that an additional “lost” story written by Terry has been found: “Arnold, the Bominable Snowman”. This story will appear in the paperback edition of A Stroke of the Pen, due out in September, but will also be published free online so those who bought the hardcover or trade paperback edition won’t miss out. Penguin Books also held a competition for fans to get their illustration of Arnold published in the book. It will be published on 7 November 2024 by Transworld. (TerryPratchett.com) Significant Pratchett Events Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 Narrativia announces an exclusive deal with Motive Pictures and Endeavour Content to produce "definitive" and "absolutely faithful" Discworld adaptations for the screen.
