Thursday, January 30th, 2025 In an update on Kickstarter, the Pratchett Estate state that "in light of new articles and allegations" the Good Omens graphic novel project will now be controlled solely by the Estate, and that Neil Gaiman will have no financial interest or involvement. They have also opened a new window for refunds which will last until 27 February, and add a way for backers to opt out of certain rewards. (Kickstarter update) Tuesday, November 8th, 2024 The Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork campaign on Kickstarter ends, having raised £2,415,962 from an initial goal of £100,000. The campaign unlocked additional content and rewards via 26 traditional “stretch goals” (for funding milestones beyond the base goal), and a further nine “social goals” (for reaching social media milestones). Late pledges for some rewards are still available. (kickstarter.com) Thursday, October 31st, 2024 Penguin and the Pratchett Estate announce that Night Watch will be added to the Penguin Classics range. This edition of the book will include a new introduction by Rob Wilkins, and annotations written by Dr David Lloyd and Dr Darryl Jones. (TerryPratchett.com; The Bookseller) Thursday, October 24th, 2024 The production companies behind The Amazing Maurice announce that a sequel is in production, titled The Amazing Maurice 2 - The Waters of Life. It retains the same directors and producers as the first film, with a script by new writers Giles Smart and Keiron New. It’s expected to release in 2027, and will be distributed internationally by Epsilon Film. (Animation Magazine) Thursday, October 24th, 2024 Amazon Prime Video and the Pratchett Estate announce that the third season of the Good Omens adaptation will now be made as a 90-minute television film. Neil Gaiman will not be directly involved in the production, though he has contributed writing to it. (TerryPratchett.com) Significant Pratchett Events Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 Narrativia announces an exclusive deal with Motive Pictures and Endeavour Content to produce "definitive" and "absolutely faithful" Discworld adaptations for the screen.
